Backpack safety

Backpack safety is an important consideration for parents of young children and teenagers. In these formative years, the physical stresses of carrying heavy loads on their shoulders and backs can result in the beginning of life-long postural changes which can negatively impact their health and wellbeing. There are a number of warning signs that your child’s backpack is too heavy; and there are ways which you can ensure your child’s backpack is doing the least amount of damage possible.

Below you will find a backpack safety flyer produced by the National Safety Council (nsc.org). It is one of the best and most concise informative handouts I’ve come across on the subject, and I am making it available to you here.
